Just beginning the radiation and...I feel your pain. Just beginning the radiation and I can tell you that having to lie still in an uncomfortable position, with your nose blocked and a plastic breathing tube clenched between your teeth for however long is panic-inducing. It isn't bad enough to have some young guy looking at your mangled and exposed breast, but then you are forced to lay there like this for a very long time after the initial image to make sure you are correctly aligned. Then there is the "Oh, but this is so much EASIER than what you have been through already," comment that comes out of the radiation oncologist's mouth. I am not a violent woman.
